The Truth

Plain and simple....

Road on the sky.jpg

If you believe that the Lord Yehoshua died for you and God raised Him from the dead, follow the directions in Romans 10:9-10 and speak them out loud.

"If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."

In Matthew 16:24 Christ tell His disciples,

"Then Christ told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."

But what does all this mean? I'll break it down for you individually.

Just as Christ carried His cross with grace and long-suffering, we should to. But what would be considered our cross and what would long-suffering involve? Our cross could be when someone undeservedly mistreats us. It could be your spouse, a family member, co-worker, or even in traffic when someone cuts you off. Carrying your cross would mean you show the person grace in return for their misdeeds. The same grace Christ gave those that killed Him and even asked for God to forgive, is the same grace you extend to those that offend you, insult you, look down on you, are rude to you, belittle you, judge you, etc. I think you get the point.

In essence, you are to faithfully extend all the fruits of God's Spirit that now lives in you to everyone regardless of their behavior towards you. According to Galatians 5:23-24, the fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

This one is as simple as The Truth. What does it mean to follow Christ? I'll make this super clear for you to grasp.

If you observe an infant, you've noticed that when they have the capacity to observe their surroundings, they innately begin to contemplate and mimic that which catches their attention the most.

Do you remember when you were four or five when you desired to be the superhero you saw on TV or in a movie? You wanted to dress like them, talk like them. And in your imagination, you imagined you were them. Oh, the fun I had when I imagined I was Wonder Woman at the age of 5!

Do you recall your teenage years when your admiration for someone led you to want to be exactly like them? It could have been a family member, a friend. Or even an actor or an artist. Do you remember trying to mimic their walk, the way they talked, maybe even the way they dressed, or their hair? Maybe you began to work out because you really wanted to have their body type. And if you were a girl you probably tried copying the way they did their hair and makeup too.

This behavior is part of our DNA. God put it there for a reason. However, we have been unknowingly using it to become a copy of another imperfect human being. God actually had a greater plan for this behavior that is embedded in us, and if you use it to be transformed into the very likeness of Christ, then you'll actually be using it for its intended use!

Following Christ is basically us putting Him on as our identity imitating Him in every way!  And what will help you get there will be this very next step I am about to lay out for you.

Dedicating yourself to the Word of God, the Bible may seem boring at first thought to many. That used to be me. I used to roll my eyes at the thought of having to turn the pages of a book, let alone having to read the Bible. But that changed once I was called.

You see, when God calls you, He will send you the Spirit of Truth to lead you into all truth. I repeat, all truth. Not just a tiny bit, or partial truth, it says all truth. John 16:13 says, "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come."

When you embrace this, as I did, all you will need to do is sit in the privacy of your own home, sit in front of your Bible and pray a very simple prayer to God. Pray the following as your sample prayer in the meantime if you don't know how to pray to receive God's Truth.

Pray, "Father you said that the Spirit of Truth comes to guide us into all truth. I ask you to please give me your Spirit of Truth to guide me into all of your truth just as it says in your Word. I seek to know your truth Father. Please enlighten the eyes of my heart to receive it. I pray this in Yehoshua's name. Amen."

The first couple of times you sit down to read the Bible, your doubt may get in the way of receiving revelation from the Spirit, but don't give up. I've told this to a few people and sure enough, they confirm they have had a difficult time reading the Bible without yawning or they hadn't received revelation. But in time, because they don't lose hope, they keep trying and they have successfully received breakthrough.

I am telling you as I told them, don't give up and have faith that you will receive revelations. Keep going back and trying it until you receive a breakthrough. I promise you that once the breakthrough happens you'll begin to get revelatory glimpses of God's glorious Truth, that not only heals you but will also free you from all the lies that have kept you from being whom God created you to be.

The New Testament in the Bible is your blueprint to becoming just like Christ. His life is to be read in a way that not only gives you

MIssion statement

"But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie." 1 John 2:27
